Quick Start: Filtering Features

To improve model-building performance, filter out features that are not needed in the SolidWorks model.

For example, to filter out all plated holes from the cellphone:

  1. Click the Tools tab (top of the CircuitWorks window).
  2. From the Filter section of the Tools toolbar, click Plated Holes .
  3. From the Plated Hole Filters panel (right side of the CircuitWorks window), select Larger than and drag the slider as far left as possible.

    If panel text is truncated, you can resize the panel by dragging the border between the preview image and the Plated Hole Filters panel.

    The text box displays 0.526, which is the smallest plated hole on the board. The plated holes turn gray in the preview image and tree indicating that they are filtered out.

You can also right-click features from the tree and select Filter Out.
