List Acceleration

List the desired acceleration component for the active study. Available only for linear and nonlinear dynamic studies.


  • Component . Sets the acceleration to be searched for extreme values. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the Absolute Max value. Click here for available acceleration components for listing.

  • Units . Select the units of the acceleration list

  • Plot Step . Sets the step number at which the selected result is to be listed.

Advanced Options

  • Plane, Axis or Coordinate System . Select a reference plane, an axis, or a coordinate system to list acceleration. Used for directional components only.

  • Extremes . Check this option to search for extreme values.

    • Criterion . Sets the criterion for extreme results. Available list options are: Absolute Max, Algebraic Max, and Algebraic Min.

    • Sort by value. If checked, activates the sorting of the list.

    • List all values within. Sets the range of values to be listed. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the extreme value.

  • Range . Check this box to specify the desired range of nodes to be listed. Use this option to list values sequentially with node numbers. Enter the lowest and the highest node numbers.

List Set

Lists all acceleration components. Available only if Range is selected under Advanced Options.

To list an acceleration component with respect to a reference geometry:

  1. If needed, create the reference entity that you want to use to list the desired acceleration component.

  2. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Results folder and select List Stress, Displacement, Strain.

The List Results PropertyManager opens.

  1. Under Quantity, select Acceleration.

  1. In the FeatureManager design tree, select the reference geometry you created in step 1.

Make sure that the reference entity you selected appears in the Plane, Axis or Coordinate System box.

  1. Select the desired options as described above and click OK.

The List Results dialog box opens and a list of the selected acceleration component appears. You can change the display units of the acceleration by selecting the desired units from the Units menu.

  1. Click Save.

The Save As dialog box opens. You can save the list to an Excel file (*.csv) or to a plain text file (*.txt).

  1. Click Close.
