Free Body Force
You can list the free body forces at selected faces, edges, vertices
or components. The forces can come from contact, external loads, restraints,
or connectors.
Selection
Plane, Axis or
Coordinate System
. Select to list the results relative
to the selected entity.
Vertex or Reference
Point for Location of Moment.
. Select the location
to list the moments
Units
. Sets the output units.
Faces, Edges,
or Vertices
. Lists the selected entities. Edge selection
is available for shells only.
Components
. Lists
the selected components.
Update.
Updates the results based on the current selected entities.
Free Body Force
Lists the free body forces of the selected entities and the entire model.
Free Body Moment
Lists the free body moments of the selected entities and the entire
model.
Display Options
Display resultant forces. When checked, the three force vectors (X-,
Y- and Z- components) are converted to a resultant force vector. Only
the resultant force vector is displayed.
To list free body forces:
Run a static study with Compute free body forces
selected on the Options tab of
the Static dialog box.
Right-click the Results
folder and select List Result Force.
Under Options, select Free
body force.

Click Simulation,
Result Tools, Free
Body Force.
In the PropertyManager, set Units
to the desired output units.
In the graphics area, select the desired entities
for Face, Edges,or Vertices
or Components
Click Update.
View the results under Free
Body Force.
