Associating a Named View with a Plot

You can associate a plot with a named view orientation. When you double-click the plot or include it in a report, it appears in its associated view.

To associate a plot with a named view:

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the plot icon and select Edit Definition.

  1. Under Property, do the following:

    1. Check Associate plot with name view orientation.

    2. Select the desired view in Named Views.

-or-

  1. In the graphics area, Rotate,zoom, and pan the model to create the desired view for the plot.

  2. Click Associate with current view .

The current view is given an automated name. This new view becomes available in the Named Views menu for all plots.

  1. Click .

If the user defined view name starts with “*”, the software does not plot the result in the exact view. The view looks like the specified view “*...” followed by zoom to fit.
