Add Note to Document
When you add a note to a document, it appears in the Note
column on the History/Notes tab
of the Document
Information dialog box and in the SolidWorks Explorer client.
You must be the owner of the document to
add a note.
To add a note to a document:

Right-click a document in the vault view and select Add
Note. In the SolidWorks Explorer client, you can also select a
document and click Add Note on the Mini Toolbar.
The Add Note to Document
dialog box displays information about the document and lists any reference
documents.
To add the note to references,
select the references in the Select references
to add note to window.
Under Additional
information, type a note into the Enter
note box.
Click Add Note.
You can also Output to file from this dialog
box.
