Printing Issues
If you have problems printing, first determine if the problem is with
SolidWorks or with the printer.
Try
Print Preview from the Print
menu.
Printer fails with SolidWorks.
Check printing from other applications to verify
it is a problem with SolidWorks.
Print from another computer.
Check Page
Setup in the File
menu.
To check page settings:
Click File,
Print.
On the Page Setup dialog
box, verify the settings.
Set Resolution
and Scale Properties to 100%.
If you are using High
Quality (for Drawings), SolidWorks determines the optimum resolution,
based on printer and paper size combinations. If this causing a problem,
set the scale to 100%.
Printer fails with all applications.
Install the printer as described by the manufacturer.
Load the driver included with the printer.
From the Windows Start menu,
open Help and Support, and go
through the Printing and faxing
troubleshooting wizard.
Test the printer by printing a test page.
To print a test page:
From the Windows Start
menu, open Printer and Faxes folder.
Right-click the printer and click Properties.
Print a test page.
Contact the printer vendor's technical support.
