GetUnits Method (IDisplayDimension)

Gets the units used by this display dimension.

.NET Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Function GetUnits() As Integer
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As IDisplayDimension
Dim value As Integer

value = instance.GetUnits()
C#
int GetUnits()
C++/CLI
int GetUnits();

Return Value

Units for this display dimension as defined in swLengthUnits_e or swAngleUnits_e

Remarks

The unit display setting of a display dimension is controlled by a value stored in one of two places: on the owning document or on the individual display dimension. Use IDisplayDimension::GetUseDocUnits to determine whether the units settings are local or from the owning document. If IDisplayDimension::GetUseDocUnits returns false, then IDisplayDimension::GetUnits returns -1.

If this display dimension uses the local unit information, then the return value indicates the units used with a value from swLengthUnits_e (length measurement) or swAngleUnits_e (angle measurement). If this display dimension uses settings from the document, then DisplayDimension::GetUnits method returns -1.

Use IDisplayDimension::SetUnits to set the unit setting of a display dimension.
