Changing Mesh Settings

To change mesh settings:

  1. Click Change settings.
  2. Click Change mesh density.

    You see a dialog box that says changing mesh density deletes any results for the SimulationXpress study.

  3. Click OK to close the dialog.
  4. In the Mesh PropertyManager, adjust the mesh by dragging the slider.


    • Drag the slider to the right for a finer mesh (more accurate).
    • Drag the slider to the left for a coarser mesh (quicker).

  5. Click to remesh the model.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Run Simulation.
  8. Click Stop animation or Play animation .
  9. Review the animation and determine whether the loads and fixtures are applied properly.
    • Click Yes, continue if the animation is okay.
    • Otherwise, click No, return to Loads/Fixtures, modify the loads and fixtures as desired, and then rerun the study.
  10. When simulation is completed, a check mark appears next to Run and Results in the SimulationXpress wizard.
