Define Study Name
The Define Study Name dialog
box allows you to create a new study by duplicating the current study
and associate the new study with any of the existing configurations.
Study Name.
Type a name for the study.
Configuration
to use. Select the desired configuration from the list.
Convert to a
nonlinear dynamic study. Available for nonlinear static studies
only. Select this option to create a new nonlinear dynamic study that
has the same definitions (study properties, fixtures, loads, mesh) with
the current nonlinear static study. Make sure to define damping parameters
before you run the nonlinear dynamic study.
To create a study using duplicate:
Right-click the Simulation study tab that you
want to copy and select Duplicate.
In the Define
Study Name dialog box:
Type a name for the new study in the Study Name box.
Select a configuration from Configuration
to use.
Click OK.
NOTES:
When using Duplicate
to create a study, the new study will have the same analysis and mesh
types as the original study.
If the configuration you selected is not the active
configuration, the new study is grayed out. A feature that is not well-defined
with the specified configuration appears with x
(in red). To access a grayed-out study, activate
the configuration associated with it.
