Fixtures
The Fixture PropertyManager
allows you to prescribe zero or non-zero displacements on vertices, edges,
or faces for use with static, frequency, buckling, dynamic and nonlinear
studies.
To apply a restraint:
In a study, right-click the Fixtures
and select from the options.
-or-
click on Apply
loads and select Restraints
on the Simulation toolbar.
-or-
click Simulation,
Loads/Fixture, Fixtures.
The Fixture
PropertyManager appears.
Set Type
to one of the following:
Under Standard:
Under
Advanced:
Select the model entities to which the restraint
is applied.
If you select Use
Reference Geometry in step 2, select a valid entity for direction.
In nonlinear studies and for restraints other
than Fixed, Immovable,
and Symmetry restraints, you can
associate the selected restraint type with a time curve. Under Variation
with time, do the following:
Click Linear
to use a default linear time curve.
-or-
Click Curve
then click Edit.
The Time
Curve dialog box opens.
Enter a name for the time curve in the Name box.
Enter the curve data points under the X and Y
columns.
Click OK.
In the PropertyManager, click
