Copying the Local Log File

You can copy your local SolidWorks Enterprise PDM log file to a .cog file to make it available to Support or your administrator.
The Enterprise PDM administration tool, installed on client systems, is required to view .cog files.

To copy the log file:

  1. Under Local Settings, right-click Log File and click Copy.

    You can also open the log file and click Copy log file .

    The complete log file is copied as a .cog file to the Windows clipboard.

  2. To save the file, paste it:
    • On the desktop
    • In a folder
    • As an attachment to an email or other document
  3. To open and view the file, double-click it.

    The Enterprise PDM Administration tool opens with the log file displayed in the right pane.
