Vertical Dimension

You can create a vertical dimension between two points. The vertical direction is defined by the orientation of the current sketch.

To create a vertical dimension:

  1. Click Vertical Dimension (Dimensions/Relations toolbar) or Tools, Dimensions, Vertical.

The pointer changes to .

  1. Click the two points to dimension.

    You can undo previous selections by pressing Esc. For example, when dimensioning multiple entities using the Vertical Dimension tool, you can press Esc to undo the last selection. This is helpful if you accidentally select an entity that you did not want to dimension.

  2. Click a location to place the dimension.
