Changing Equations Through a Linked File

You can change equations in a linked text file and see the changes reflected in a part.

To change equations using a linked text file:

  1. At the bottom of the Equations dialog box, click Open linked file button_compare_drawings_open.gif from any view.

    The text file opens.

  2. Change one or more of the equations.
  3. Save the text file.
  4. In the Equations dialog box, you can link and unlink individual equations by selecting and clearing the check boxes in the Links column.
  5. Click RebuildOTTool_Rebuild_Standard.gif to see the changed equations.
