Using Display States in Parts

In the Display Pane, you can add new display states to a part, change from one display state to another, and rename display states.

Adding a Display State to a Part

  1. Right-click anywhere in the Display Pane and click Add Display State.
  2. Type a name for the new display state in the field that appears at the top of the Display Pane.

    The name of the new display state appears in angle brackets after the configuration name at the top of the FeatureManager design tree.

Changing Display States

  • Do one of the following:
    • Right-click anywhere in the Display Pane, click Activate Display State, and select a display state.
    • When the Display Pane is hidden, right-click in the top right corner of the FeatureManager design tree, and select a display state.
    • Use Customize to add the Change Display State command to any toolbar.

Renaming Display States

To rename a display state:

  1. Ensure the display state is active.
  2. Right-click anywhere in the Display Pane and click Rename Display State.
  3. Type a new name for the display state in the field at the top of the Display Pane.
