Changing a Dimension with the Modify Dialog Box

When you change a dimension in the Modify dialog box, the dimension is automatically updated in the model, the Equations, Global Variables and Dimensions dialog box and the linked text file.

  1. In the FeatureManager design tree, click Boss-Extrude1.

The cube part opens in sketch mode.

  2. In the sketch, double-click the dimension.

The D1@Sketch1 dimension and the BlockSize global variable represent the same feature.

  3. In the Modify dialog box, change the dimension from 50 to 100 and click PM_OK.gif.
  4. In the FeatureManager design tree, click Rebuild OTTool_Rebuild_Standard.gif on the Equations folder.
