Fitting to Displays

To fit a document window to the display:

  • Click Fit to Left Display Fit to Left Button, Fit to Right Display Fit to Right Button, Fit to Top Display Fit to Top Button, or Fit to Bottom Display Fit to Bottom Button on the right side of the document window's title bar.

    Fit to Display Button Location

    If two displays are configured side-by-side, or if only one display is connected, the available buttons are Fit to Left Display and Fit to Right Display. If two displays are configured one above the other, the available buttons are Fit to Top Display and Fit to Bottom Display.

    Display Configuration Result
    Two or more displays available, and the SolidWorks window spans two displays. The document window fits to the appropriate display.
    Two or more displays available, and the SolidWorks window does not span two displays. The SolidWorks window resizes to span two displays and the document window fits to the appropriate display.
    One display available The document window fits to the appropriate half of the display.
