Disappearing Faces During Rotation or Movement

If faces disappear during model rotation or movement:

Adjust the Level of detail slider in Performance Options.

To add detail during changes to view orientation:

  1. Click Options (Standard toolbar) or Tools, Options and select System Options, Performance.

  2. Drag the Level of detail slider towards More (slower).

This decreases performance, but increases detail during changes in view orientation.

  1. Click OK.

This option is not available when Large Assembly Mode is on.

Check to see if Large Assembly Mode is selected.

Large Assembly Mode is automatically enabled based on a minimum number of assembly components. You can manually enable or disable the option whether or not the threshold is reached. When Large Assembly Mode is on, Large Assembly Mode appears on the status bar.

To turn Large Assembly mode on or off:

Click Large Assembly Mode (Assembly toolbar) or Tools, Large Assembly Mode.
