Add Channel - Edit Channel
The Add Channel dialog box allows you to add channels for comparing test data. A channel is defined by a location, result component, time (for nonlinear and drop test studies), reference value, or a study.
The Edit Channel dialog box allows you to edit channels for comparing test data.
-
Name. Name of the channel. Use a descriptive name or the default name which attaches a counter to the word channel.
-
Reference (plane, axis, or coordinate system). Select a reference entity (plane, axis, or a coordinate system) with respect to which the reference data is entered.
-
Result type. Type of the result in the channel. The available options depend on the study type selected in the Compare Test Data dialog box.
For static, nonlinear, and drop test studies, the available options are:
No options are available for thermal studies as all result components are available under thermal.
-
Component. Sets the component of the selected result type.
-
Measured value. Sets the measured value and unit of the selected component. Not used if the reference channel data in the Compare Test Data dialog box is set to reference study.
-
Time. Results of nonlinear, drop test, and transient thermal studies are available at different times (or in general, solution steps). Use this value to specify the solution step to use for the comparison.
-
Location. Sets the location of measurement.
-
The dialog box remains visible when you click Apply to add multiple channels.
