Rename Document/Replace Document
To rename or replace a SolidWorks document:

Access the Rename Document or Replace Document dialog box by doing one of the following:

In SolidWorks Explorer, on the File Explorer 
tab in the left pane, select a document, then click SolidWorks Rename 
or SolidWorks Replace 
on the Mini Toolbar.

In Windows Explorer or in the SolidWorks Task Pane File Explorer, right-click a SolidWorks document and select SolidWorks, Rename or Replace.

Set options as described below.

Click OK.
Rename or Replace. Displays the full path and name of the selected document.
To. Type the new name for the selected document.
With. Type the name of the document to replace the selected document.
Update where used. Generates a list of all documents that reference the one you are renaming or replacing.
Include virtual components. Includes virtual components in the list generated by Update where used. Because scanning for virtual components affects performance, select this option only if virtual components might reference the file you are renaming or replacing.
Update where used
Select items from the list to update their references to the item you are renaming or replacing. Items that you clear continue to reference the old name or document.
Used by. Lists the documents that reference the one you are renaming or replacing.
Used as. Lists the type of reference.
