Creating Revision Number Formats

You can create revision number formats to match the numbering schemes used in your company. You can then associate revision number formats with workflow states and transitions, or allow users to assign revision numbers manually.

To create a revision number format:

  1. Create at least one revision number component (counter).
    1. Expand Revisions, then right-click Revision number components and select New component.
    2. From the Revision Number Component Properties dialog box, define a component, then click OK.
  2. Expand Revisions, then right-click Revision numbers and select New revision number.
  3. From the Revision Number Properties dialog box, define a revision number format, then click OK.
