Dimension Leaders/Text

By default, the display of dimension text with respect to the leaders follows the selected dimensioning standard. You can override the default display.

To override the default alignment for dimension text:

  1. Click Options on the Standard toolbar, or click Tools, Options.

  2. On the Document Properties tab, click Dimensions.

  3. Click Leaders.

  4. Select Override standard’s leader display.

  5. Click any of the following options, then click OK.

Linear, Radial, and Angular Dimension Text

 

Linear

Radial

Angular

Solid leader, text aligned with leader

Broken leader, horizontal text

Broken leader, text aligned with leader

Chamfer Dimension Text

  • Horizontal text

  • Horizontal, underlined text

  • Angled text

  • Angled, underlined text

Chamfer Text Format

  • 1 X 1. Distance X Distance

  • 1 X 45°. Distance X Angle

  • 45° X 1. Angle X Distance

  • C1. Chamfer (available only for angles of 45 degrees)

Chamfer "X" Format

  • X. Uppercase X

  • x. Lowercase x
