Outline Properties

Use the Outline Properties panel to view and edit outline properties.
From the tree view, expand the desired outline node (such as Component Keep-Out Areas), then right-click the outline and select Properties.
Not all outline types have the same properties. For example, some keep-out and keep-in areas are 2D rather than 3D so do not have heights.
Name The outline name.
Owner Not supported by all ECAD systems. Ignored by CircuitWorks (CircuitWorks can modify properties regardless of this property value), but you can change the value when exporting IDF data:
  • MCAD - Can only be modified in the MCAD system.
  • ECAD - Can only be modified in the ECAD system.
  • Unowned - Can be modified in either system.
Board Side (some outline types only) Select Top or Bottom to change the location of the outline.
Routing Layers (routing outlines only) Select Top, Bottom, Both, Inner, or All.
Height (3D outline types only) The outline height.
Filter Status The filter status: Filtered In or Filtered Out.
