Shell Color

You can display shells by color to identify the thickness or material of the shell. Every shell with a unique thickness or material appears in a unique color. Shells without a material assignment are also shown in a unique color. Model faces that are not assigned to shells become translucent.

Option

  • Thickness or Material. Displays shell information by thickness or material.

Color

  • Lists the thickness or material of the various shells.

  • Double-click the Color box to select a new color from a palette.

Notes

  • To access this PropertyManager, select Simulation, Shells and select either Show Color by Thickness or Show Color by Material.

  • When displaying shells by thickness, you can edit the callouts or Thickness column under Color to change the thickness.

  • You can create a mesh quality plot showing the thickness or material of the shells.
