Spring - Damper Connector

The spring-damper connector connects any two vertices or reference points on the model with a spring that can also act as a damper

  • Vertex or point for first location .

  • Vertex or point for second location . Select a vertex or a reference point from the same or different component or a body.

Options

  • Units . Set the units for the spring-damper connector properties.

  • Axial Stiffness . Set the stiffness in the axial direction between two points.

  • Lateral Stiffness . Set the stiffness in the lateral direction between two points.

  • Rotational Stiffness . Set torsional stiffness between two points.

  • Damping coefficient . Set the coefficient of viscous damping between two points.

Symbol Settings

  • Edit color. Select a color for the symbols.

  • Symbol Size . Set the size of the symbols.

  • Show preview. Toggles the display of the connector symbols in the graphics area.
