Splitting a face (Split tab)
To split a face by projecting an existing sketch:

In the Fixture or an external loads PropertyManager, select the Split tab.

Under Type of Split, select Sketch.

Under Selection, click an existing sketch to project for Project Sketch .
The sketch and the faces to split must belong to the same part.

For Other Faces to Split , select the faces to project the sketch onto.

Optionally, select:

Single direction to project the sketch to one direction, or
-
Reverse direction to project the sketch in the opposite direction.

Click Create Split.
To split a face by projecting a new sketch:

In the Fixture or an external loads PropertyManager, select the Split tab.

Under Type of Split:

select Sketch.

Click Create Sketch.

When you finish sketching, click Exit Sketch.
The sketch appears in Project Sketch under Selection.

For Other Faces to Split , select the faces to project the sketch onto.

Optionally, select:

Single direction to project the sketch to one direction, or
-
Reverse direction to project the sketch in the opposite direction.

Click Create Split.
To split a face by intersection:

In the Fixture or an external loads PropertyManager, select the Split tab.

Under Type of Split, select Intersection.

Under Selection:
The two bodies must have touching edges or faces.

Click Create Split.
