Mate Alignment

You can set the alignment condition of standard and advanced mates in the Mate PropertyManager. The alignment conditions for a mate are:

  • Aligned . Vectors normal to the selected faces point in the same direction.

  • Anti-Aligned . Vectors normal to the selected faces point in opposite directions.

 

For cylindrical features, the axis vector (which you cannot see or determine) is aligned or anti-aligned. Click Aligned or Anti-Aligned to obtain the alignment you need.
