Control Polygon
A control polygon is a sequence of control points (nodes) in space used to manipulate an object's shape.
Dragging control points as opposed to spline points localizes the area of change, giving you more precise control over the spline’s shape.
To display control polygons by default:

Click Options
(Standard toolbar) or Tools, Options.

On the System Options tab, click Sketch.

Select Show spline control polygon by default.
To display a control polygon:
In an open sketch, right-click the spline and select or clear Display Control Polygon.

Select or clear Display Control Polygon
(Spline Tools toolbar).
To use a control polygon:

Sketch a spline.

Select a control point to activate it
and display the Spline Polygon PropertyManager.

Drag the control polygon to adjust the shape of the spline.
You can also set values for the X Coordinate
, the Y Coordinate
, or the Z Coordinate
(3D splines) in the Spline Polygon PropertyManager.

If necessary, click Relax Spline to smooth the shape after dragging.
