To set up the vault view, the Enterprise PDM client must be installed.
To create a vault using the View Setup wizard:

From Windows Start, click .

From the list of available archive servers:- Select an archive server.

Add an archive server:

Click Add.
- In the Add server manually dialog box, type the Server name and click OK.
Use the server system name, not the IP address, unless the environment is configured for IP-only communication, as described in the Installation Guide.

If your account does not have sufficient access rights, log in using an account with privileges to attach to vaults on the archive server. See Logging In to an Archive Server for detailed information.
- Select the new archive server.
- Select other archive servers with vaults.

Select the vaults for which you want to create a local vault view. |

Specify the location of the vault view.
To make a shared view easy to find for all profiles on the system, specify the root of the local hard drive.

Only for me
The local view is accessible only to the Windows profile that is currently logged in. Use this option when multiple users use this system, for example, in a terminal server or Citrix environment. Place the local vault view in a user folder that is accessible to the currently logged-in profile.

For all users on this computer
The local view is accessible to all Windows profiles on this system (preferred). The user currently logged in must have local administrator rights to use this option because it requires updating the local system registry. See Using a Shared Vault View with Multiple User Profiles.
