Build Checks
The Build Checks tool is where you set the requirements to evaluate the document with the SolidWorks Design Checker. The Build Checks window is divided into parts:

Dialog View. Shows checks in the requirements document, where you can edit any of the criteria. Click Show All Checks to toggle between checks for the current tab only and all checks in the document. Click the title bar of a check to collapse or expand it.

Summary View. Shows a condensed view of the requirements document with parameters and values for each check. Click a check to see more details.

Options. Sets options for the current requirements document.
Drafting standards (ANSI, ISO, DIN, JIS, BSI, GOST and GB) are provided with a set of built-in standard files. You can load any of the provided drafting standards to view its customized document settings. The file location of the drafting standards is
install_dir
\dsgnchk\Data.
To run Build Checks:

Click Build Checks 
(Design Checker flyout 
, Tools toolbar) or Tools, Design Checker, Build Checks.
Use the Welcome to SolidWorks Design Checker dialog box to create additional standards files, open an existing standard file, get help, or work with a Design Checker tutorial.

Click New 
or File, New to create a new requirements document.

Click Open 
or File, Open to open an existing requirements document.

In the SolidWorks Design Checker window, click a tab below to set document requirements and a Criticality
level.
Settings in the Preferred auto correction values box are automatically applied to the failed checks when you select
Auto Correct All
or
Correct Selected
.

Click Save 
or File, Save.
The document is saved with a .swstd extension.
You can set the location of Design Checker Files in
Options 
, File Locations.
You can now run Check Active Document to see if your document complies with the selected drafting standard..
Build Checks

Document Checks 
. Dimensioning standards, custom properties, fonts, etc.

Annotation Checks 
. Arrow styles, annotation fonts, and GTOL datums.

. Overridden dimensions, arrow styles, units, etc.

Drawing Document Checks 
. Sheet formats, layers, title blocks, etc.

Part Document Checks 
. Materials assigned to parts.

Assembly Document Checks 
. Component materials, mate errors/warnings, external references, etc.

Feature Checks 
. Feature errors/warnings and fully defined sketches.
