Adding Ribbon Cables to the Cable Library

You can add ribbon cable details in the cable/wire library. You can specify details such as part number, ribbon thickness, and ribbon width.

Adding ribbon cables to the cable/wire library is optional. When you create a ribbon cable connector, you can use the data to set some connection point attributes, rather than entering the data manually in the Connection Point PropertyManager.

  1. Open the cable/wire library by clicking Routing > Electrical > Open Cable/Wire Library.
  2. In the drop-down list on the right, select Ribbon Cable Library.
  3. Add new cables or edit existing ones.

The SWColor field is currently unused for ribbon cables.
