The sequence of diagnosis error messages for extrudes is as follows.

The selected face must be planar.
The selected faces must be parallel to each other. Select faces separately or try using Up to face.
The selected faces must be coplanar. If you select faces that are parallel but not coplanar, try using Up to face.
The feature contains nesting faces or internal loops. Try recognizing the faces separately.
The sketch is self-intersecting.
There might be nesting faces and internal loops. Try avoiding Up to face or swapping faces in the selection.
Selected edges do not represent a valid extrude. Try selecting a face.
The selected face does not produce a valid extrude.
