CATIA Part and Product File Import

You can import CATIA® V5 CATPart and CATProduct files.

The CATIA V5 Translator is a separate product.

To import CATIA V5 files:

  1. Click File > Open.
  2. Navigate to the folder containing CATIA part or product files to open.
  3. For Files of type, select CATIA.
  4. Select the CATPart or CATProduct file and click Open.

    SolidWorks imports the CATIA V5 file.

    You can save an imported CATPart file as a SolidWorks part file, and an imported CATProduct file as a SolidWorks assembly.
