When a part is painted, the surface area of the part is used to determine the amount of paint and the environmental impact of painting the part.

You can estimate the relative financial impact of your material choices based on the financial impact per unit mass associated with each material.
Improved algorithms and a more robust and flexible Life Cycle Inventory model make sustainability calculations even more accurate.
You can display SolidWorks Sustainability results that are determined using the Tool for the Reduction and Assessment of Chemical and Other Environmental Impacts (TRACI) impact assessment methodology.
You can change the units that are displayed for material properties in the Find Similar dialog box.
