Copying and Pasting Appearances

You can copy an appearance from one entity and paste it onto another. Pasted appearances retain all the customizations made in the Edit Appearance PropertyManager.

To copy and paste an appearance:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select the appearance in the DisplayManager or on the model and click Ctrl + Shift + C or PhotoView 360 > Copy Appearance.
    • Select the appearance on the model and click Copy Appearance tools_copy_appearance.gif in the context menu.
    • Right-click the appearance in the DisplayManager and click Copy Appearance tools_copy_appearance.gif in the context menu.
  2. Click the face, feature, body, or part you want to add the appearance to and do one of the following:
    • Click PhotoView 360 > Paste Appearance.
    • In the context menu, click Paste Appearance tool_paste_appearance.gif.
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + V.

    The Appearance Target palette appears.

  3. On the Appearance Target palette, click Face tool_filter_face_appearance.gif, Feature tool_filter_feature_appearance.gif, Body tool_filter_body_appearance.gif, Part tool_filter_part.png, or Appearance Filter tool_appearance_filter to paste the appearance at the desired level. As you hover over the palette buttons, a preview appears in the graphics area.

You can copy and paste multiple appearances more easily with the Appearance Target palette pinned. If you pin the Appearance Target, select the level you want to add the appearance to before pasting the appearance.
