Derived Components

You can include items such as custom properties, sketches, and model dimensions from the seed component when mirroring components or creating derived components.

For example, when you mirror a component and create an opposite-hand version, a new page in the PropertyManager lets you select items to copy from the seed component to the opposite hand version. You can select any of the following:
  • Solid bodies
  • Surface bodies
  • Axes
  • Planes
  • Cosmetic Threads
  • Absorbed sketches
  • Unabsorbed sketches
  • Custom properties
  • Coordinate systems
  • Model dimensions
  • Hole wizard data
