Allows applications to create SolidWorks add-ins.

.NET Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Interface ISwAddin
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As ISwAddin

To use this interface in a SolidWorks VSTA macro, see ComVisibleAttribute in VSTA macros.

    1. DECLARE_OLETYPELIB(<your CCmdTarget-derived class name>)

    2. __declspec( dllexport ) virtual BOOL GetDispatchIID(IID* pIID);

  • In your implementation, add:

    1. IMPLEMENT_OLETYPELIB(<your class name>, LIBID_SldWorks_SWPublished, SolidWorks_type_library_version, 0)  //e.g., 14 for 2007

    2. BOOL auAm_c::GetDispatchIID(IID* pIID)

            *pIID == IID_ISwAddin;

            return True;

  • In your class constructor, add:
