Changing Task Options

To change the task options:

  1. In the dialog box, select from the following options:
    Option Description
Task working folder Type the name of the folder where you want to store task working files, or click Browse and browse to the folder. Task working files can include backup files, reports, and so on.
Time out (seconds) Type the number of seconds for the time-out duration. SolidWorks Task Scheduler ends the task after the task runs for this amount of time, whether or not the task completes.
If the system is saving a document when the time-out duration is reached, the save operation completes before the task terminates.
Backup task files Select to save backup zip files to the Task working folder before the task is performed.
  2. Click OK.

When you create a task, you click Advanced in the task properties dialog box to change the task options for that task only. To change the default task option values, click View > Options > Task Options.
If your backup files include Unicode file paths, use a zip file extraction application that supports UTF-8 encoding
