Creating a Search Card Using an SQL List

In this example, you use a central SQL list to show existing project numbers stored in the vault.

To create a project search card:

  1. Create an SQL list that displays all values stored in the card variable Project number.
  2. Create a search card with a combo box linked to the Project number variable. Select the central SQL list Project numbers as the Special value for the control.
  3. Set the default search card value to only return files, not folders.
  4. Create a new search result column set.
  5. Add some columns (variables) to the result set and save it.
  6. Select the new result set.
  7. Save the search card and test it in the search tool.
