Export Options - Offsets

Offsets

Node Offset Sets the node offset. The lowest node label in the generated file will be the specified node offset + 1.
Element Offset Sets the element offset. The lowest element label in the generated file will be the specified element offset + 1.

Exporting a Study to ANSYS, PATRAN, IDEAS, or Exodus

To export a study to ANSYS, PATRAN, IDEAS, or Exodus:

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the icon of the desired study and select Export.
  2. In the Save As dialog box. do the following
    1. In the Save in field, browse to select a folder.
    2. In the File name field, enter a name for the file.
    3. From the Save as type menu, select the desired FEA system.
    4. Click Options.
  3. In the Export Options - Offsets dialog box:
    1. Set the Node Offset and Element Offset.
    2. Click OK.
  4. In the Save As dialog box, click Save.
