Spring-Damper Connector

The spring-damper connector connects any two vertices or reference points on the model with a spring that can also act as a damper
  • Vertex or point for first location .
  • Vertex or point for second location . Select a vertex or a reference point from the same or different component or a body.

Options

Units Set the units for the spring-damper connector properties.
Axial Stiffness Set the stiffness in the axial direction between two points.
Lateral Stiffness Set the stiffness in the lateral direction between two points.
Rotational Stiffness Set torsional stiffness between two points.
Damping coefficient Set the coefficient of viscous damping between two points.

Symbol Settings

  Edit color Select a color for the symbols.
Symbol Size Set the size of the symbols.
  Show preview Toggles the display of the connector symbols in the graphics area.
