Activating the SolidWorks Enterprise PDM Add-in

Activate the Enterprise PDM add-in to access source control and workflow tools within SolidWorks.

  1. In SolidWorks, click Tools > Add-ins and verify that SolidWorks Enterprise PDM is selected.

    The Enterprise PDM window is displayed on a tab in the Task Pane by default.

  2. Click the Enterprise PDM tab to open the Task Pane.
  3. In SolidWorks, open or create a part, drawing, or assembly to view Enterprise PDM information for the file in the Task Pane.

    If the file is not checked out, you are prompted to check it out before you open it. For files that contain references to other files, the Check Out dialog box opens.

  4. Right-click the file or a variable to display a menu of Enterprise PDM commands.
