4 Select objects to Offset (loop to continue offsetting objects)
5 Press Enter or Esc to terminate the command

-or-

By specifying point through which object passes, specify:

1 Through
2 Select objects to offset
3 Through point (the object moves the Distance specified)
4 The prompt returns to Offset distance or Through for continued offsets.
5 Press Enter or Esc to terminate the command

A dimension appears, showing the offset distance.

You cannot drag or edit this dimension.

With the Through option, horizontal lines are offset vertically, and vertical lines are offset horizontally, so that the new offset lines align with the specified point. The lines do not actually go through the specified point.

When a circle is offset with Through, the specified point is on the circumference of the new circle. The offset is concentric with the original.
