Use the Route Properties dialog box to create custom property templates that predefine parameters and defaults for a route. When you begin a new route assembly, you can find and select the custom templates in the Route Properties PropertyManager.
To display this dialog box, do one of the following:
- and click Route Properties.
- From the Windows Start menu, click .
Select Route Properties Template
Lets you add custom property templates.

Add New
|
Clears entries in the dialog box and allows you to add a new routing template.

Copy
|
Copies an existing template so that you can use it as the basis of a new template.

Delete
|
Removes a template.

Pipe Sizes
Lets you specify the size and schedule of a pipe.
Use Size Range |
Select and enter values for the Size Min and Size Max of the pipe. |
Use Schedule |
Select and specify a schedule from theSearch by name list. |
Pipe
Lets you select a pipe from the Piping and Tubing database. You can
set defaults for the pipe including the schedule, a standard weld gap, pipe length,
and whether to insert a coupling.
Pipe Part |
Browse to select a part file for the pipe you want to use. The Piping and Tubing database opens and allows you to select a component. Click Accept Component to add the component to the route template. |
Use weld gaps |
Select and specify a value for the weld gap. |
Use standard length |
Select and specify a value for the standard length. |
Insert coupling |
Select to insert a coupling between segments. You can browse for the coupling part from the Piping and Tubing database. Click Accept Component to add the coupling part to the route template. |
Schedule |
Displays a schedule depending on the pipe configuration. |
Bends-Elbows
You can select a standard elbow from the Piping and Tubing database
and create a custom elbow.
Default Elbow |
A default elbow is required. You must define a default elbow before defining a custom elbow. Browse to select a part file for the elbow. The Piping and Tubing database opens and allows you to select a part. Click Accept Component to add the elbow to the route template.

Custom Elbow |
Click Add New to display a custom elbow in the list. Browse to select a part file for the elbow. The Piping and Tubing database opens and allows you to select a part. Click Accept Component to add the elbow to the route template.
Click Delete to remove a custom elbow from the list.
