Specifying Modify Parameters for Curve Driven Patterns

The Modify: Curve Driven Pattern Parameters dialog box lets you specify Modify parameters for a curve driven pattern. The following parameters are available:

Direction 1

Instance count Set a value for the number of instances of the feature you want in the curve driven pattern.
Equal spacing Select On to set patterns with equal spacing in a 360° span.
Spacing (available only when Equal spacing is set to Off). Set a value for the spacing length between each instance in the curve driven pattern.
Curve method Select an option to modify the patterns with the specified curve method.
Alignment method Select an option to modify the patterns with the specified alignment method.

Direction 2

If the selected pattern is bi-directional, the options under Direction 2 are available.

The Modify utility does not change the pattern type. For example single direction patterns remain as single directions, and bi-directional patterns remain as bi-directionals.

Pattern seed only (available only if Other direction was selected in the Find utility). Select As is, Off, or On to modify patterns with only the seed feature patterned in Direction2.
Geometry pattern Select On to find curve driven patterns created with a geometry pattern. Select As is to find curve driven patterns regardless if they were created with a geometry pattern. Select Off to find curve driven patterns created without a geometry pattern.
