Performance Improvements to Rendered Animations

PhotoView 360 saves rendered animations to *.lxo files which contain all the data: the appearances, scenes, model geometry, and motion study definitions needed to process rendered animations. Internal conversion to *.lxo files dramatically reduces the time required to process a rendered animation.

In previous versions of the SolidWorks software, for each frame of a motion study, the SolidWorks MotionManager solves the motion and saves the model at that frame. PhotoView 360 then loads the model and renders the model for each frame. For example, if you have a one second animation at 30 frames per second (FPS), the SolidWorks software saves a model 30 times and PhotoView 360 loads it and renders the model 30 times. Saving each frame and loading it into PhotoView 360 takes a significant amount of time.

With the performance improvements to rendered animations, because the SolidWorks software saves the motion study information in *.lxo files, when PhotoView 360 loads the model the first time, Photoview 360 has all the information about the entire motion study model to render it. In the example of a one second animation at 30 FPS, SolidWorks saves the model just once and PhotoView 360 loads the files once to render all the frames of the animation.
