You can configure the database server to change the connection information, poll frequency, and language.
To configure the Enterprise PDM Database Server:
- Open the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM Database Server dialog box by doing one of the following:
- On Windows 7 and Windows Server systems prior to Windows Server 2012, from the Windows Start menu, select .
- On Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 or later, on the Apps screen, under SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM, click Database Server Configuration.

To change the SQL server login name, in the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM Database Server dialog box, under SQL Server Connection, type the a new User and Password.
Use SQL Server Management Studio to create a new SQL login user with db_owner access to the Enterprise PDM database. For more information, see the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM Installation Guide.
- To change how frequently the database is polled, for Seconds to wait until file vault databases are processed, type or select a new value.
- To change the language of the Enterprise PDM login dialog box, select a new language from the Language drop-down list.
- Click OK.
