Select Files to Generate Items for Dialog Box

Select files from which to create items.

To display the Select Files to Generate Items for dialog box, do one:
  • Right-click an item folder and select New > New Item From File.
  • Select an item folder and click New Item From File (toolbar).
  • To create items in the active folder, right-click in empty background of the main pane and select New > New Item From File.
Look in

Select the vault folder that contains the files from which to create items, then select one or more files.
Preview, Data Card, Version, Bill of Materials, Contains, Where Used

Tabs that display information about the selected file. Information is not displayed for multiple selections.
File name

Names of the selected files.
Files of type

Select the type of files to browse for: All Files (*.*) or CAD Files (*.sldasm;*.sldprt;*.slddrw).

Open

Proceeds to the next step.
