List Results PropertyManager

You can list stress, displacement, strain components after running your study. For frequency and buckling studies, you can list mode shapes. For dynamic studies you can also list acceleration and velocity components.

To access this PropertyManager, right-click Results and select List Stress, Displacement, Strain.

Quantity

Stress Selects a stress component to list.
Displacement Selects a displacement component for the active study or mode shapes for the active frequency or buckling studies.
Strain Selects a strain component to list.
Velocity Available for dynamic studies only. Selects a velocity component to list.
Acceleration Available for dynamic studies only. Selects an acceleration component to list.

Component

Component Select one of the result components to list:
Units Select the units of the component.
modeshape.png Mode Shape Available only for frequency and buckling studies. Specifies the mode number at which you want to list the displacement.
Plot Step Available only for nonlinear, dynamic and drop test studies. Sets the step number at which the selected result is to be listed.

Advanced Options

Plane, Axis or Coordinate System Select a reference plane, an axis, or a coordinate system to list stress. Used for directional components only.
  Nodes Lists nodal stresses
Element's center Lists element stresses or strains at element center.
Element's nodes Available only if Range is selected. Lists the normal and shear stresses at the nodes of each element defined in Range.
replace_face_surface.png Shell Face Available for shell and mixed mesh models only.
  • Top (total stresses or strains at the top face)
  • Bottom(total stresses or strains at the bottom face)
  • Membrane (membrane stress or strain component)
  • Bending (bending stress or strain component)
Extremes Select this option to search for extreme values.
Criterion Sets the criterion for extreme values of results. Available list options are:
  • Absolute Max
  • Algebraic Max
  • Algebraic Min
Sort by value Activates the sorting of the list.
List all values within Sets the range of values to be listed. The default is to list values within 5% tolerance of the extreme value.
Range Select to specify the desired range of nodes/elements to be searched. Use this option to list values sequentially with node/element numbers. Enter the lowest and the highest node/element numbers.

List Set

Available only if Range is selected under Advanced Options.

List normal and shear stresses
List principal, von Mises and stress intensity
Displacement components Available for displacement components.
Reaction forces
Strain components Available for strain components. Lists the normal and shear strain components.
Strain energy and total energy
Principal components and equivalent strain
