Settings PropertyManager

The Settings PropertyManager allows you to control the display of the fringe plot, the display of the model boundary, and the display of the deformed shape of the model.

To access this PropertyManager, do one of the following:
  • Click Plot Settings (Simulation CommandManager).
  • Click Simulation > Result Tools > Settings.
  • In the Simulation study tree, right-click the active plot and click Settings.

Fringe Options

Sets the display of the active fringe plot.

Point Uses colored point contours.
Line Uses colored line contours.
Discrete Uses color-filled contours with discrete shading.
Continuous Uses color-filled contours with smooth shading.

Boundary Options

None Sets the display of the model boundary off.
Model Displays the boundary edges of the model.
Mesh Superimposes the selected result plot on the mesh plot.

For Model or Mesh, click Edit Color to change the color of the boundary.

Show hidden bodies Available only when hidden bodies exist.

Translucent (Single color)

Displays all hidden parts in a single color of your choice. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

Translucent (Part colors)

Displays all hidden parts in their shaded mode colors. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

Show excluded bodies Available only when hidden bodies exist.

Translucent (Single color)

Displays all excluded parts in a single color of your choice. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

Translucent (Part colors)

Displays all excluded parts in their shaded mode colors. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

Deformed Plot Options

Superimpose model on the deformed shape If selected, displays the undeformed shape of the model on the deformed shape using the following settings:

Translucent (Single color)

Allows you to select a color and set the transparency level of the model.

Translucent (Part colors)

Allows you to set the transparency level of the model. Part colors will be used.

Beam diagrams options

Available for models with beams.

Transparency Sets the transparency level for beam diagrams.
