Replacing Model in a Drawing View

You can change file references between parts and parts, assemblies and assemblies, and between parts and assemblies.

To change file references in a drawing view:

  1. Click Replace Model replace_model.png (Drawing toolbar) or Tools > Replace Model.
  2. In the PropertyManager, under Selected Views, select a drawing view.
  3. Under New Model, browse to select a part or an assembly file, and click Open.
  4. Double-part icon double_part_icon.png next to the view name in the selection window indicates that the part appears multiple times in the assembly.
    For the drawing view with double_part_icon.png, click Select instance to select the instance to apply the swapped reference.
  5. Click PM_OK.gif.
